Rolele se folosesc pentru paleți în stare bună, cu tălpi continue, și permit acumulare pe traseu. Lanțul este preferat pentru paleți deteriorați, pentru cei din plastic cu tălpi discontinue sau pentru sarcini foarte mari, întrucât preia încărcarea pe două sau trei linii de sprijin, indiferent de starea tălpilor.

Ce înseamnă un sistem FIFO pentru paleți?

FIFO — primul intrat, primul ieșit — este configurația în care paleții sunt preluați în ordinea în care au fost introduși. Se realizează prin conveioare de acumulare cu sens unic, unde încărcarea se face la un capăt și descărcarea la celălalt. Este soluția uzuală pentru produse cu termen de valabilitate.
