Conveyors for Granulated Products
Belt conveyors for transporting granulated products — granules, pellets, seeds, small or bulk products. Technical description
Conveying granulated products on inclines, without slipping
On a smooth-belt conveyor, the product starts to slide or roll back beyond a certain incline angle. Cleats — transverse dividers mounted on the belt — solve this limitation: each product is held between two cleats and climbs together with the belt. This achieves much steeper climbing angles than a plain belt, which significantly reduces the length needed to gain a height difference.
The swan-neck version is the most-used configuration: the conveyor picks up the product at ground level, on a short horizontal section, climbs a steep route and discharges at height — into a machine hopper, into a tank or onto another conveyor. We make these conveyors of stainless steel for food environments or painted steel for industrial applications, with a plastic modular belt or a PU belt with sidewalls and cleats, depending on the product.
